Easter-journey in Finnmarken, part one

The "1996 Grand Family Tour" was our easter-holiday-journey to the end of the (old) world...
A journey to Karasjok in Finnmarken the northernmost part of Norway, some few miles from the absolute top of Europe.
It's the region, where a very small minority, the sami's lives.

We did participate in a skiing-tour with 13 persons and a dog-sledge with 14 dogs. The dogs were dragging a sledge with all of our luggage.

The dogs can drag up to 50 kg. each, and seemed to enjoy the task...too long breaks made them jump uncoordinated forward, trying to move the sledge.
